Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the newly appointed Director-General of the World Trade Organization has been the subject matter of most conversations in Nigerian amongst the young and old.
She has lots of admirer especially amongst the men who through their social media pages have advised ladies to follow in her footsteps with the trending hashtag #BelikeNgoziChallenge
However, what most people have neglected is the fact that her husband is her support system. We have seen cases of men trying to suppress the growth of their wives but this wasn’t the case for her husband.
Her success wouldn’t have been heard of assuming her husband forged a wall against it. There were days when she needed to be away from home, he believed and encouraged her to pursue her dreams.
We acknowledge or rather celebrate her lover and husband of many years Dr. Ikemba Iweala. Indeed who you marry has a lot of effect on your career growth and development.
